CLASSES
Mechanical Cross Training is a class developed by field hands that is geared toward our young engineers. The goal of this course is to streamline communication, the way we get our information, as well as start these men and women off on the right foot by building a bridge between them and the working hands. In this course our young engineering friends will get a hands on taste with the tools and materials, learn terminology, and learn some of the struggles that are dealt with on a day-to-day basis.

In the class Vested Interest, we take a look at what is important to us in our everyday lives. Then we dig a little deeper and as a group we discuss the vested interest that every person working for a mechanical company has from the mechanical laborer unloading a truck, to the owner bidding work. With a better understanding of how the people we work with view the job, we can have a better understanding of how to communicate with one another.

Ignorance and assumptions are the fuel that feeds anger and animosity witch kills morale and solidarity. In the class The Rundown we cover the ins and outs of our training center, our union hall, and the PMCA. Then we will discuss how they all work together to make our local unions the great organizations that we all see them as.
