The Mechanical Cross Training curriculum is developed and taught by some of the most experienced leaders in the piping industry. These skilled union tradesman are committed to providing students with an informative, hands on learning experience that prepares them for the future.
Zack Wright
Zack has had a very accomplished career as a plumber running small/special projects and commercial work. He has a strong connection to his UA brothers and sisters as he has taught at the UA Local 290 training center since 2013 and has been a steward on three projects.
Blake Alexander
Blake is a 34 year member of 290 who started off his career in the shipyards. Over that time he has gave back by educating our apprentices for 13 years. He was one of the founders of Charter Mechanical and currently is the QA?QC manager for Charter.
Keith Hanson
Keith is a 27-year member of 290 who has specialized in welding. His tribal knowledge of our industry makes him a valuable asset.
Dominic DePiero
Dominic is one of the most passionate members UA local 290. He had traveled all across the state of Oregon making the membership better by spreading his knowledge of med gas and instructions apprentices. He is currently the director of training at UA 290's training center
Sean Copenhaver
Sean is a rising general foreman at Apollo Mechanical. Throughout his 18-year career, he has led numerous complex projects and has contributed to apprenticeship program by serving as an instructor.
Jason Sherwood
Jason’s passion and joy for teaching make him one of the most loved and inspirational instructors that UA290 has. He is a respected professional in the BIM/CAD world. We are thrilled to have Jason be apart of the class.
